Learn one of the original partnered slow dances created by Lindy hoppers at the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, which was their groovier, bluesy impression of ballroom dance characterized by large relaxed and flashy movements, in typical Savoy fashion.
4. Blues dancing to faster music
Blues!=Slow. Blues music has a range comparable to jazz music, but blues dance has gotten pigeon-holed into slow dancing to slow music. We'll introduce you to the styles that scale and have you dancing blues +200 bpm.
